Amman, Nov. 1 (Petra) - The Social Security Corporation (SSC) on Sunday signed a cooperation agreement with National Health Insurance Administration (NatHealth) to audit hospital claims for immediate work injury treatments, streamlining administrative procedures and controlling medical expenses.
SSC Director-General Hazim Rahahleh and NatHealth Board Chair Karim Kawar signed the agreement.
Under the deal, NatHealth will receive and audit medical claims related to immediate work injury treatment, aimed to ensure compliance of all procedures, diagnostic imaging, lab tests, medications, and supplies with approved price lists and official agreements.
The partnership leverages a centralized digital system to upload invoices, verify documentation, and process claims electronically.
Talking at the signing ceremony, Rahahleh noted that the digital platform enhances financial oversight, optimizes prescription and diagnostic testing auditing, and generates real-time data reports to monitor healthcare spending.
Kawar, in turn, said NatHealth will apply "rigorous" technical and administrative controls while providing the SSC with technical, financial, and statistical reports to improve overall service quality for insured workers and employers.
